What is Alkaline Water?

What is alkaline water? Alkaline water has a greater pH level than 7 showing a lower concentration of hydrogen ions than neutral water or "pure water".

The pH scale we use ranges from 0 (most acidic) to 14 (most alkaline). The recommended pH range for safe drinking water is pH 6.5 to 8.5.

Most commercially sold Alkaline water has a pH level of 8 to 8.5.

How is Alkaline Water Created?

Alkaline water is created in 2 main ways:

  1. Through processes like electrolysis or adding minerals like iron.
  2. Through naturally occurring alkaline rich water.
